Próby odbywają się raz w tygodniu. Ćwiczyć trzeba dużo, aby pozbyć się tremy przed występem. W młodzieżowej orkiestrze są cztery sekcje instrumentalne. Muzycy grają na trąbkach, puzonach, fletach i bębnach.
W orkiestrze gra 65 młodych muzyków. Trafili tu najlepsi. Gra w orkiestrze to nie tylko sposób spędzenia wolnego czasu. To ciężka praca wymagająca wyrzeczeń.
