Grał m.in. w takich klasykach sztuki filmowej jak "Gilda" (gdzie był partnerem Rity Hayworth) czy westernie "15.10 do Yumy". W sumie w latach 1939-1991 Glenn Ford zagrał w 85 filmach. Aktor, od lat poważnie chory. Zmarł w swej rezydencji w Beverly Hills.
