 | Norweska Fundacja Fritt Ord (Wolne słowo) przyznała nagrodę za rok 2005 polskiej intelektualistce mieszkającej w Norwegii Ninie Witoszek-FitzPatrick za "przekazywanie doświadczenia Wschodniej Europy". |
Poprzednimi polskimi laureatami tej nagrody byli Czesław Miłosz i Lech Wałęsa. Nina Witoszek od 25 lat mieszka w Norwegii. Jest profesorem uniwersytetu w Oslo, dyrektorem Instytutu Historii Kultury. Wydaje powieści ("Kochankowie Faustyny", "Daimon"), pisze także scenariusze filmowe.
