 W Kielcach powstanie Centrum Edukacji Geologicznej. Obejmie ono te tereny w mieście, które są wyjątkowe pod względem geologicznym: Wietrznię, Kadzielnię i Ślichowice. Szacuje się, że Centrum może zwiedzać ponad 200 tys. turystów rocznie. Jego budowa będzie kosztowała kilkanaście mln zł. - "Większość pieniędzy mamy ochotę zdobyć z Unii Europejskiej" mówi prezydent Kielc Wojciech Lubawski. - "Szykujemy w tej chwili porozumienie między Urzędem Miasta, Państwowym Instytutem Geologicznym i Akademią Świętokrzyską (wydziałami geografii i biologii) - żeby było to nasze wspólne przedsięwzięcie, chcemy mocno zaangażować w nie Akademię" - dodaje prezydent. |
W tym roku ma zostać zlecony projekt budowlany tych przedsięwzięć (na Wietrzni jest zaprojektowany pawilon konferencyjny i wystawienniczy). Centrum będzie kierował Andrzej Mochoń, doktor geologii, były prezes Świętokrzyskiej Agencji Rozwoju Regionu.
